About Richie Jones
Richie Jones is a self-taught artist. He has been drawing since he was 10 years old. During those 36 years, he has been progressing in many mediums, mostly focusing on graphite pencil.
Richie attended Florida State University’s graphic design school, and graduated in 2001. From there he moved to Atlanta, Georgia to focus on a career in graphic design. The corporate design field, however, didn’t quite fulfill his passion and he stepped away from studio art until 2020. Once COVID hit, Richie began heading back to the drawing board, and began regaining his passion for art. During this time he began trying an exciting new medium using white chalk, and white/black charcoal. This method allows the highlights to pop into a realism form that is of photo quality!
Richie’s work will be shown at Atlanta area galleries and on social media. in the meantime, he can also be hired to do custom portraits.
